 Marette was purchased to be my first conformation dog. Unfortunately, Marette had other ideas. Marette had a particular dislike of dog shows and as such by her second birthday I relented and let her stay home for good. Marette was a wonderful dog who if dogs could have a specific personality we would have labeled her as sarcastic. She always liked to keep me on my toes as anyone who watched her in the obedience ring could attest to.
Bred three times she was a terrific brood bitch who taught me a lot about raising puppies. Even so I decided not to continue her line by breeding any of her offspring. However, Marette was still able to make her mark on the Legend line by influencing how I raised each of my litters and giving me the knowledge of what I should look for in my breeding stock.
Marette was a sweet devoted dog that I had the pleasure of owning. Her wit is missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest well Mertle dog.
